Blackboard Connect is an automated messaging service that allows schools to contact parents within minutes.  Hickory Public Schools has implemented this system in their schools.  This system will contact parents when your child is out, when school will be closed or delayed, or to inform you of PTA meetings or other upcoming events.  If your phone number has changed recently, please call Grandview at 328-2289 so you will not miss out on important messages.

You may reserve your copy of a yearbook for $33.00.  Yearbooks will be distributed in June.  You may send payment to Grandview, attention Bonnie Schultz.

 

A Uniform Policy will be in effect beginning this school year for all students in grades 6-12. 

TOPS:  Collared short sleeve or long sleeve knit shirts with button-center plackets; Collared long sleeve, buttoned dress shirts; turtlenecks.  Acceptable colors:  White and all SOLID color tops are permitted but must be tucked in.  No logos permitted except the logo of each individual school.  Sweatshirts without hoods may be worn but must be worn with collared shirt underneath.

BOTTOMS:  Pants, skirts, shorts, skorts, and capris in khaki, navy, or black.  No other color options, no cargo pants, no leggings, no jeggings (jean leggings), no jeans of any color. Must be worn at the waist with a belt. Shorts and skirts are to be knee length.
